Title: Teacher’s Bet
Author: Ruby Steele
Genre: Erotic Fiction/Romance
Review: The opening to Teacher’s Bet was brilliant, we meet Olivia and her best friend Becca on a vacation in Las Vegas, in addition to cutting lose and having some fun Olivia is trying to find a guy to take her virginity so she can stop worrying about it. She choose Vegas because she feels that if it goes horrible wrong and is awkward she won’t ever have to see the guy again. When they arrive at the casino on a mission Olivia is slightly buzzed after a few shots and heads to the high rollers section of the casino floor where she meets Aiden.
As we approach the ¼ mark in the novel we see Aiden and Olivia connect over her very first game of Blackjack and there is an instant attraction between the pair and Olivia believes she has found the kind of man she needs. Despite feeling he is too old for Olivia, Aiden is adamant that she isn’t leaving with anyone but him tonight.
As we cross the ¼ mark in the novel after hours of gambling Aiden and Olivia make a bet that if she wins the next hand he buys he a fancy dinner and if he wins she spends the night in his bed. In Aiden’s penthouse suite they plan one final hand which Aiden wins and Olivia is more than happy to send the night in bed with this gorgeous man.
As we approach the half way mark in the novel we see Olivia begin to explore the sexual world but just as she and Aiden are about to have sex she tells him she’s a virgin which almost literally knocks him on his ass, but it doesn’t get awkward as Olivia passes out.
As we cross into the second half of the novel we see Olivia return to her normal life although she doesn’t remember losing her virginity in Vegas she is kind of glad to leave it behind her despite regularly thinking of Aiden. The last thing Olivia expects is for Aiden to walk in as her new professor at college, but despite this little hiccup the pair just can’t be within arm’s reach of one another without pouncing on each other and driving the other wild.
As we approach the ¾ mark in the novel we see Olivia trying to keep her distance from Aiden in order to maintain a profession student/teacher relationship between them but neither can deny the pull they feel. After some thorough conversation Olivia ultimately ends up agreeing to fulfil her initial bargain and stay the night with Aiden. By this point in the novel I was practically begging for the extensive foreplay and teasing to end and for the steam bedroom scenes to begin. When the pair finally get down to business it was the best scene in the novel by far, one thing that I really did enjoy was the fact that both Aiden and Olivia both feel something more than lust for one another but they wouldn’t quite call it love either, so it was really interesting to read.
As we cross into the final section of the novel section of this novel was amazing, although I am not going into detail because so much happens that would be major spoilers.
Overall, I loved this novel and I highly recommend everyone goes to read it right now.
